The Club’s recent partnership with All Roads North, celebrated for their meticulously designed luxury road trips, pairs Members with an area specialist to create a custom itinerary to perfectly match their interests. Experience enriching — and private — encounters through All Road North’s network of local experts including naturalists and fishing guides to academics and artists. Add a one-of-a-kind itinerary to an existing stay or create a standalone itinerary. Here, All Roads North founder Sam Highley shares his favorite drives and experiences around Exclusive’s top U.S. destinations:
Sonoma and Napa, California
This is perfect basecamp territory, within easy reach of the Bay Area and relatively compact. Dine at some of the best restaurants in California or let our team arrange behind-the-scenes food tours with local producers and chefs as well as tastings at private wineries not typically open to the public. Day trip to bustling wine country towns like Healdsburg and Yountville or work off the farm-to-table meals with a hike in the redwood groves of the Russian River. The proximity to the Sonoma coast makes it easy to tack on kayak adventures near Point Reyes, where you can shuck your own oysters for lunch. Further afield, I recommend exploring lesser visited Mendocino and areas like the Anderson Valley, home to family-run wineries, quirky towns and small-scale farms. The drives along the Sonoma and Mendocino coasts rival Big Sur.
