What To Do

Day 1

9 a.m. | Start your day with a Wafflelaughagus, a malted waffle loaded with sausage gravy, or a sweet strawberry nutella sandwich at local breakfast eatery, Creekside Cafe. 11 a.m. | Take a hike on the Emerald Mountain trail. The moderate 3.8 out-and-back trail is lined with summer wildflowers and gives way to breathtaking views of Steamboat.

3 p.m. | In the afternoon, wander Main Street and Downtown Steamboat Springs for some retail therapy. Poke your head into crafty boutiques, galleries, and outdoor shops while taking in the quaint mountain town atmosphere. Don’t miss Ohana, a boutique filled with Colorado-crafted goods.

Day 2

9 a.m. | Sip Steamboat coffee at Freshies, a local spot known for its use of Colorado-fresh ingredients. Fuel up on a savory-sweet quinoa and butternut squash power bowl or opt for a stack of homemade granola pancakes. Be sure to order a gooey cinnamon roll for the table—it comes served hot with melty cream cheese frosting.

12 p.m. | Rent a pontoon or fishing boat from Steamboat Boat Rentals and spend the afternoon on the water in the Colorado sunshine at Stagecoach Lake State Park. Cast a line to catch trout and bass, or enjoy a leisurely picnic while cruising along the glassy surface.

4 p.m. | Soak your hiking-tired muscles in the healing waters of Strawberry Park Hot Springs. The open-air pools are nestled in the mountains and fed by natural springs, keeping the water warm and soothing.

7 p.m. | Savor the American alpine cuisine at Member-favorite, Truffle Pig located just steps from your stay at One Steamboat Place. Try the Kobe Beef Bolognese or Colorado Lamb Shank for a rich, flavorful dinner.

Day 3

10 a.m. | Saddle up for a horseback trail ride at Del’s Triangle 3 Ranch. Listen and learn about the history of Steamboat and local wildlife from your friendly guide as you trot along wildflower-strewn fields. Rides span from one hour to one day long.

1 p.m. | After an exhilarating jaunt on horseback, relax and renew with a luxurious massage at The Spa at One Steamboat Place.
